The story of our brand began in May 2021. After the COVID-19 crisis, we reassessed our values and started to think about what was really important to us. More than ever before, we were acutely aware that we wanted to be ourselves and create something with our own hands, something that truly reflected us and we could enjoy the process. We have always been inspired by the life around us, its rich colors, its beauty and its non-ideality. That's how we got the idea to create bright and naive rings that we would like ourselves first and foremost.
After a few weeks we decided to show our hobby to our friends. And after receiving only positive feedback, we realized that people feel the good energy we put into each of our rings.
At some point we came up with the name "deforme", which is French for "deformed/distorted". This name perfectly described our concept and what we do. Because our rings are handmade, they are always slightly different and sometimes not perfect. Just like all people on earth, which is what inspires us in the first place, because we are all imperfect but also insanely beautiful.

Thanks to word of mouth, people started sharing and telling their friends and acquaintances about us. Soon, Influencers found out about us and started talking about us on their blogs. After a couple of months, our rings were spotted and worn by famous industrial designer Karim Rashid. This was a big deal for us, which inspired us even more ;) When the demand for our jewelry grew, we set up a small workshop with our artists who also share our values and love what they do.
We try not to stand still and are expanding our collection. We have pearl jewelry where we draw on the pendants exclusively by hand. We really appreciate handwork because we believe that it emphasizes the individuality of our piece and gives it a certain artistry.
We are also preparing new collections in metal jewelry, which will see the light of day soon, but we will keep the handwork there as well.
This is such a small but very warm story about us).
